Privacy policy

This policy describes which personal data the Academic Sports Association University North (the Association) collects, why it collects them and what rights you have. The Association processes data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Data controller

The data controller is the Academic Sports Association University North, Ulica Jurja Križanića 31B, 42000 Varaždin. For any questions about data protection, write to info@asaunin.hr.

What data we collect

Data you send us by email: your name, email address and the content of your message.
Data about participants in competitions and events: first and last name, university unit, sport and result achieved.
Photos and videos from competitions and events that the Association organises or takes part in.

Visiting the website

The website does not use tracking cookies or visitor analytics tools. On every visit your browser sends technical data to the server: your IP address, browser type and the address of the requested page. The hosting provider keeps this data for a short time for security and protection against attacks.

The website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers, and photos accompanying posts from the UniSport Croatia portal are loaded from the unisport.hr server. In doing so, these servers see your browser's IP address.

Registration for competitions

Registration for competitions and recreation takes place through the UniSport Digital system, which is run by the Croatian Academic Sports Federation. The privacy rules of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation apply to data processing in that system.

Purpose and legal basis

Answering enquiries: the legitimate interest of the Association in replying to a person who has contacted it.
Organising competitions and publishing results: carrying out the tasks of the Association as a sports association and the legitimate interest in informing the public about university sport.
Publishing photos and videos: the legitimate interest in reporting on public sports events, or consent where required.

Photos from events

Competitions and events of the Association are public and are photographed for reporting purposes. If you do not want your photo to be published, or would like us to remove it, contact us by email and we will remove it as soon as possible.

How long we keep data

We keep messages for as long as needed to answer your enquiry. Results and reports from competitions are part of the Association's sports archive and are kept permanently, unless you request their removal.

Who has access to data

We do not sell data or pass it on to third parties for marketing purposes. Access may be given to the Croatian Academic Sports Federation, where this is necessary for registration for competitions, and to the hosting provider of this website.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, and to object to processing. Send your request to info@asaunin.hr. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (azop.hr).
