World championship bronze for Amanda Mlinarić

University North student Amanda Mlinarić won the bronze medal at the World Field Archery Championships, held from 22 to 27 September 2026 in Yankton in the United States.

The championships brought together 244 archers from 31 countries, and rain, strong wind and mud made the competition even harder. In the semifinal she narrowly lost to the world number one (63:65), and in the bronze medal match she beat the Austrian archer 69:64.

Amanda is Croatia's most decorated archer and regularly returns from major competitions with a medal. Her example shows that top-level sport and university studies can be successfully combined.
